Christine Peek practices general civil litigation, with a focus on constitutional law and lawsuits against government entities. Peek has experience litigating constitutional issues in a wide variety of contexts, including business regulation, land use, freedom of speech, selective prosecution, and search and seizure. Peek represents both plaintiffs and defendants, and practices in state and federal courts. Peek also handles civil appeals and writs, and defends felony and misdemeanor criminal cases.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Peek represented the Santa Clara County Bar Association and prepared an amicus brief on its behalf before the California Supreme Court in the California Marriages Cases. Peek’s brief on behalf of the SCCBA focused on the confusion and uncertainty caused by California’s exclusionary marriage laws, and argued that the state’s domestic partnership scheme is incapable of replicating the status of marriage.
