  • Secured the largest sanctions award in Santa Clara County Family Court.

Representative Matters

  • Obtained restraining order and custody orders to protect victim of domestic violence during commencement of dissolution proceedings.
  • Defeated request for a restraining order against client who was being wrongly targeted as the source of anonymous, harassing emails.
  • Succeeded in the upward modification of child support due payable by multi-millionaire Silicon Valley executive on behalf of stay-at-home mother.
  • Located and obtained on behalf of stay-at-home mother a decade-old, separate property reimbursement claim of approximately $77,000.
  • Compelled the turnover and sale of personal property in satisfaction of child and spousal support arrears.
  • Obtained temporary support and pendente lite attorney’s fees of $105,000 for a client who has been out of the workforce for 20 years.
  • Settled custody and visitation dispute that had been in active litigation for three (3) years, granting additional parenting time to entrepreneur and executive Father and alternative dispute resolution mechanism to keep the parties out of court.
  • Accomplished case dismissal prior to the filing of charges or indictment against a client accused of sexual assault, as well as the dismissal of charges involving sexual abuse of a minor child who was the subject of a pending custody and visitation dispute in an on-going divorce case.

Professional and Community Contributions

Carrie served as the co-chair of the Women Lawyers Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the Local Affiliate to the California Women Lawyers organization in 2010 and 2011. She has been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for two foster youth through the Child Advocates volunteer program in San Mateo County since 2006. Carrie is also an active member of the Junior League of San Jose.
